CLARA RODRÍGUEZ

Hello, my name is Clara and I’m sixteen years old. I live in Es Castell, a small town near the capital of Menorca.

I live in a villa with my parents and my younger brother. Our house has got a swimming pool and a lovely garden.

My mum’s name is Pilar, she works at the airport. My dad’s name is Eduardo, he’s a doctor and he works at the local hospital. They are from Madrid, but they moved to Menorca many years ago. My brother is fifteen years old and his name is also Eduardo. He is studying at “La Salle”.

I go to “Joan Ramis i Ramis” school which is for sixteen to eighteen year olds. Before that I studied in the “La Salle” school from the age of three, where I met my best friends. Some of them go to “Joan Ramis i Ramis” with me.

In the future I want to be a doctor, so I am studying science at school. My favourite subjects are Chemistry, Biology and English, but I don’t like PE.

I am 1.60 metres tall and I am quite slim. I have short, dark, curly hair with a fringe; everybody says that they love it and so do I! I have big, dark eyes and I normally wear contact lenses except when I am at home I wear glasses.

I like wearing jeans and trendy clothes, and when I go out I like to dress up.

I am very imaginative and I like keep myself busy. I like meeting friends, watching films, doing sports, going out and reading books.

I enjoy watching comedy and romantic films; I really don’t like horror films.

I sometimes play football and tennis with my brother.

My friends say I am an extremely generous and kind person, but I am also rather talkative and terribly stubborn at times. I think I am a sociable person because I have friends in different countries.

YANNICK ROSELLÓ

My name's Yannick, I come from Mallorca and I'm sixteen years old. Now I live in Mahón, a little city in Menorca.

I'm 175 cm tall and I'm thin. I have an oval face with a pointed nose. My eyes are dark brown and I wear glasses. I have acne sometimes, I hate it. I also have braces on my teeth. I try to be clean-shaved. I've got short dark hazel straight hair. I usually wear baggy or sport clothes.

I think I'm a bit shy and not very sociable, but when I know people I'm easy going and a good friend. I'm ambitious with my future and I know that I have to work hard, perhaps that's one of my worse faults, I'm a bit dreamy. I like being investigative, I'm too curious perhaps. I also try to be helpful with people. I don't think I'm a romantic person. All in all, I'm high-spirited and a little bit eccentric.

We're five in my family: my parents, my two brothers and I. My father's Joan and he works in a bank, but he studied biology. My mother's name is Pilar, she's a housewife but she was a teacher. My brothers are Eric and Erwan. Eric is thirteen years old and Erwan only eight. My grandpa is also called Joan and lives in Mallorca with my grandma, Geneviève, who comes from France. My other grandma is called Pilar too, her husband was called Pedro and died long ago.

I have many hobbies. I've played tennis for seven years. I also enjoy drawing. My favourite books are the Millenium Trilogy. I love playing on my PS3. I don't have much time for all these hobbies because I must study hard.

NICOLE NARVÁEZ

My name is Nicole and I'm sixteen years old. I was born in Ecuador and I arrived in Menorca seven years ago.

I've got long, brown, smooth hair and sometimes I wear glasses My eyes are brown; my nose is neither big nor small. I've got fair skin and I'm short.

In class I'm very shy and didn't speak much. When I arrived home I often watch TV or play with the computer, but first I do my homework or begin to study if the next day I have an exam.

Well, my fabourite subjects are biology and laboratory techniques. I can't stand Catalan and physics.

I live in Mahon with my parents and my two younger brothers and of course my cat, she's called pussy.

One of my brothers is 12 years old and sometimes I can't stand him when he begins to say silly things. My other brother is only a year and a half, sometimes he's so cute but sometimes I can't stand him because he's very naughty. I have a very good relationship with my parents.

ELENA CARRERAS

I'm Elena, I'm 16 years old and I live in Menorca that is the Mediterranean. I live in Es Castell with my family and I'm doing to the scientific "Batxillerato"in the Ramis High school.

I have got a brown curly hair, an oval face, green eyes and frekles. I think I'm quite a normal person. I always wear confortable clothes and when I go with my friend I wear modern clothes.

I'm very interested in play basketball and reading.

I live with my family in a quite house. My parents are kind and they like jogging whit my and they work very hard too I feel very happy because I have a lot of good friends and we meet at weekend, go to the cinema, playing cards, go for a walk and I have dinner together.

Hello, My name is Judith López Luque. I’m sixteen years old and I’m from Menorca, an island in the Mediterranean Sea, Menorca belongs to Spain.
I’ve always lived here, with my parents and my sister, who is a nurse. The rest of my family lives in Almeria. I used to spend Christams in a house that we've there.

Now I’m studying first of "bachillerato" in IES Joan Ramis i Ramis a high school. I’ve chosen scientific subjects, because I want to study something related to science i.e. mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, etc.

I’m 1.73 metres tall and medium build girl and I think I’ve got a good figure. I’ve an oval face and blue eyes. I’ve got long, wavy, straight and fine hair with a fringe. I’m got a fringe too.

I love diving and do spearfishing with my boyfriend or friends in summer. I usually spend the summer going on a boat, visiting sites of Menora with my boyfriend. It’s a beautiful island!

I enjoy a lot playing tennis and paddle or running round the street to do exercise too.
In my free time I like meeting my friends and reading. We usually go to the cinema or for a wolk.

I love travelling around the world too.

I study eleventh grade in the Joan Ramis & Ramis highschool in Mahon, specifically, the scientific secondary education. My favourite subject is Biology and I don't like neither Physical Education nor Maths.

I wear glasses and I have brown, curly hair and brown eyes. I actually enjoy reading and playing videogames, but I don't like going out very much. I like drawing too. My name is Judith and I’m 16 years old. I’ve always lived in Mahón, Menorca.

I live with my parents and my little sister. My parents are both police officers. My sister is 9 years old. I normally get on well with her, but sometimes we have big arguments.

I study 1^st Bachillerato in “Joan Ramis i Ramis” high school. I’m doing the scientific bachillerato. My favourite subjects are maths and physics. I don’t like sport, I neither watch it nor practise it.. I speak Spanish, Catalan, English and a bit of German. I like playing the piano, reading, listening to music (I like metal and house, but sometimes I listen to rap too), surfing the Internet, but what I like the most is meeting my friends. We meet every Saturday, and we talk, watch a film or whatever. I love horror films, I enjoy watching them with my best friend Judit. We both love them. I don’t usually watch TV, but sometimes I watch my favourite programs, “The Big Bang Theory” and “10 things I hate about you”.

I’m tall, more a less 1.75 m. I have long curly brown hair with blond streaks and quite long. I never wear a pony tail, and I have a straight fringe. I have beady brown eyes and thin eyebrows. I have freckles, and normally I have serious face.

At first I’m unfriendly with people, because I’m not very social, but when I begin to know them I can be nice. I’m not affectionate at all. I’m a little argumentative because I like being right. I’m daring, independent and extremely proud. I’m not very talkative at first, but when I trust that person, I talk a lot.

I’m short; I have an oval face, long brown wavy hair with a fringe and green eyes. I’m not thin, but I think I’m not fat either. I’m very shy with people I don’t know a lot but at the same time with people who I know sufficiently I’m very cheerful and kind. I'm thin and I'm not really tall, but I can still get in roller coasters. I am a really happy an optimist person. I have a lot of patience but I can sometimes get angry. I'm so stubborn, but I'm still smart though. I get good grades at school. I love making people laugh ang laughing with other people too. My name is Francina and I’m 16 years old, I study science because I like everything that is related it. I have always lived in Menorca, but in two years will go to Barcelona for study at a university.

I’m 163cm tall and I’m very thin. I have a thin face with freckles and moles, and I have a smiling face. I have long brunette curly hair; my eyes are small and brown like my hair and I wear glasses, but I take them off when I’m not studying.

I usually get goods marks, but sometimes I fail because I have many things to do.
I’m very happy and I think that I’m a good person. I like meeting new people, I’m a sociable person. I think I’m a creative person.
Outside school, in the afternoons I study music, I’ve played the piano since I was 6 or 7 years and I played badminton for 5 years, apart from badminton I also like sea sports, sailing, windsurfing… I practice them in the summer. I really like sports in general. I love drawing and painting, when I was a child I went to art school but now I don’t have time, I also love taking photos. In my house I spend some time on the computer, in the msn, facebook, etc.
At the weekends I go out with my friends (on Fridays and Saturdays). Sometimes we go to the cinema and often go to a restaurant for dinner. On Sundays I usually study. Last weekend I went with my friends to a discotheque party.
In summer I go to the beach, I do sea sports and I go to the “fiestas de pueblo”.

SIMÓN ABELLÁN

I’m Simón Abellán Cardona, I’m 16. I’m from Minorca, it’s a great island in the middle of the Mediterranean. I live in the harbor, but not in the city area, my home is between the sea and the countryside. I’ve got one brother who is studying in Barcelona. He is 18 years old. I’m studying at IES Joan Ramis i Ramis, it’s a nice high school.

I’m medium height, 1.80m tall, thin and slim. I’ve got a flat nose, brown eyes and thick eyebrows. My hair is brown, short and straight. I usually wear jeans with a T-shirt or a polo shirt.

I am easy going and a bit withdrawn. I’m not extremely popular but I’m sympathetic and trustworthy. I like drawing, meeting friends, architecture, but the thing I really love doing is running. I enjoy this sport because it is individual and its aim is to excel oneself. I also run some triathlons.

I have done my description to meet new friends from other countries and to establish a friendship with them.

I have long dark straight hair, and brown eyes. I haven’t got a fringe or freckles. In summer I’m tanned because I lie down in sun every morning at 10.00. I must go to the hairdressers because I have split ends.
I’m romantic and talkative. I’m a little bossy but helpful. I’m friendly and generous because I don’t mind lending things. I think that I’m too imaginative because I always think about one life on another planet with different people, an unreal life.
My favorite music is pop and rock and I love canoeing and football. I enjoy romantic films. I hate rap and reggae.

MARC PONS

I am Marc Pons Maria, and I was born in Mahon (Minorca) on 2nd January 1994. I'm tall and quite thin because I practise sports that give me a good endurance capacity. My legs are strong because I love riding my mountain bike, running and triathlon... but recently, when I was ridins my bike at a duathlon, I fell down and broke my knee. I weigh about 58 kg and I'm about 1.78 m. I've got dark hair. It's a bit long and I have a fringe. My eyes are green. I've got a happy face and I blush easily. In my free time I like spearfishing or going out with my friends or taking care of my garden. In the future, I will probably study industrial engineering in Barcelona, because I like maths, industrial technology, technical drawing...

ALBERTO MARQUÉS

I’m Alberto, I’m 17 years old, I’m a positive person, I study in Ramis high school, I live in Maó with my dad, mother and brother in the Heada-arters.

I’m a neither tall nor short, I’ve got a thin face, my hair is short and black, my eyes are round and brown. I wear glasses, my noise and mouth are normal and I wear braces. I haven’t got wrinkles, tattoos, warts, but I’ve got moles and a few spots.

I’m very sociable and I like meeting people. My hobbies are: music, because I play the flute and I like dancing, singing, and listening to music. I like to travel because I see new places and be with my best friends.

I live in Maó, a little island, whose capital is Maó. Menorca has got 3 high mountains, an important port, churches markets, monuments, etc and the tipical food of Menorca os cheese. I study in Ramis, my high school is important because Ramis wrote Lucrecia, one of the most important books Catalan Literature. The high school has got a hall, two floors with a lot of classrooms and departments, corridors, a bar and a playground with sport tracks.

I live in a 2 houses in Maó and Barcelona and 1 house in Marbella and Aragón but my certification house is that of my parents.

This is my autobiography, more of less in which I explain my hobbies, where I live, study and with whom I live.

LOREN GOÑALONS

Hello!!

My name is Loren Goñalons, I'm 16 years old and I live in Minorca. I study at Joan Ramis high school, in Mahon.

I have got a serious face, a big nose and arched eyebrows. My eyes are round and brown. Most of my hair is black and thick but I also have got some grey hair. I'm 174 cm tall, I'm thin and I am not very strong.
I am even-tempered, respectful and quite modest. When I meet new people I am terribly introverted, but when I know people better I am firendly.

In my free time, I usually play football with my town team as midfielder or defender. Other things I like doing are playing videogames, basketball, reading books...

I have got two brothers. The eldest is called Sergio and he is studying in Terrassa, and the youngest is called Dani and is studying 2 nd ESO.

At the moment, I'm studying the scientific Bachillerato in Ies Joan Ramis, and I don't know what I want to study in the future.

GEMMA CAMIÑA

My name is Gemma Camiña Conforto and I’m nearly seventeen. I’m from Menorca, Spain (which is a very touristic island) and, specifically, in Mahón, which is the capital. I live in a semi-detached house with my parents and also my little brother, Xisco, who is fifteen.

I have long dark straight hair, dark big eyes and normal nose and lips. I have some moles and a birthmark, as well. People say I have an oval face, I’m a tall and slim girl (1’73m high) and I remind them of Anne Hathaway. I used to wear glasses when I was younger.

I am an extremely nervous and hardworking person, very sociable and friendly, as well. I’m terribly talkative, and I think I’m humorous and open-minded but It depends, of course, on the person that you compare me with. My weaknesses are I’m straight forward and rather stubborn. I don’t like supercilious, critical or rude people.

I like enjoying my time listening to music, meeting my friends, reading, shopping… I love travelling abroad and I like extreme sports but I don’t practice them because Menorca is a terribly quiet island and We don’t have things like that.

I used to play tennis when I was younger and I did judo until last year. I cannot practice any sport now because I want to be a doctor so, I have to study hard, but I don’t mind.

My name is Monica de Pablo I’m 16 years old and I live with my parents and two big dogs in Binixica. I have got an older sister but she is studying in Barcelona.


I’m tall and slim with long brown curly hair. I don’t think there is anything special in my face my eyes are brown and because I’m short-sighted I wear glasses, but I prefer to use lenses. I am quite broad-shouldered and very fit probably because I swim every day.

I don’t like getting up early in the mornings, but I’m normally a sociable person. I like spending time with my friends going to the centre for a walk, shopping or just sitting and talking. I like spending time in my house too reading and watching TV, especially in winter when it is cold and wet outside. I like things tidy and I am short-tempered with my sister if she doesn’t tidy up things.

I’m Paula Romero. I’m 16 years old. I’m a high school student and I live in Menorca, Spain.
I live with my mother because my parents are divorced, my sister lives with her boyfriend.
My house has four rooms, three toilets, two living-rooms and one kitchen. It is near the city center in maó.
In my house I like to be play on the computer, talk with friends and listen to music. At night, I like watching my favorite series on TV.
I have an oval face, a flat nose, normal lips and brown eyes. I’m slim and medium heighted.
I am fun, cheerful, sociable, responsible, positive and shy but with close friends. I’m talkative. I am not selfish, spiteful and I don’t like lies.
I spend time in my room doing homework and studying. At the weekend, I like meeting my friends watch movies and laugh to relax myself a bit.
I like doing sports when I can because there is much to study. With my friends went out to run down the street.

My name’s Ana Claudia I’m 15 years old, I will be 16 on 29th December. I’m from Peru, but I live in Es Canutells with my mother; one sister, whose name is Nuria and her father. I’m studying 1st of Bachillerato.
The place where I live is very solitary and calm. Few people live here, because so we have a bad public transport service in winter but in summer it’s crowded. What I like best about living there is that I live by the sea which is relaxing for me.
My mother is name is Silvia and she’s 43 years old. My father doesn’t live with me, but Nuria’s father is Vicente and he’s 49 years old. My sister is Nuria, she’s 7 years old, she has just turned 7 and she is a student is second in primary school La Salle. My sister likes playing with her dolls.
I have two budgerigars, their names are Chico and Perla and one goldfish, whose name is Reyna.
I have a thin face, slit eyes and long brown hair. I think that I have a good figure and I’m medium height. I consider myself a careful person, because I take care to the maximum of my things I am also very forgetful, because it’s difficult for me to remember things. I’m a moody person, I might be happy and suddenly I become sad, though I often don’t know why. Providing that I can I like to investigate the reason for things, and I can be very curious. In my spare time I usually listen to music, read books and magazines, watch TV. I like watching films, above all I like watching terror films, because I like feeling afraid. My name is Júlia and I’m 16 years old. I’m studying in IES Joan Ramis since I was in 3^rd of ESO. Now, I’m in 1^st of bachillerato in IES Joan Ramis i Ramis. I’ve chosen to study socials subjects. I’ve lived in Mahón, a small town in Menorca, all my life.

I’ve got long, dark and straight hair, I’m too short slim and I’ve got green eyes. When I was younger I wore glasses and braces for three years. I have never had spots or blackheads. In summer I’m brown that I spend all day in the beach, but in winter I lose my tan.

I’m rather shy at first. When I’m embarrassed, I’ve got rosy cheeks and I blush. Then I’m really funny and when I’m with my friends I can’t stop laughing. I’m hardly ever sad.
